As a contract technical writer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical product documentation and marketing collateral. The documentation will primarily focus on the database software features. This position can convert to full-time position in future based on match and need.

Responsibilities include:

  • Own responsibility of the technical product documentation, for online and print media. Documentation will cover broad areas such as database concepts, database objects, datatypes, DDL interfaces, DML interfaces, administration interfaces, database tools, tutorials, guides for getting started,performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • You will also be directly using the database product to gain strong first-hand understanding of the product functionality and behavior.

In addition, you will also have responsibilities related to:

  • Assist in defining our documentation standards
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering on documentation requirements
  • Manage product release notes for product releases.
  • * Write and publish Technology Briefs, Competitive Briefs and White Papers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced,quickly changing environment.

Qualifications:

This internship position starts at 20 hours per week with potential for more depending upon the selected intern’s availability. Hours are flexible but must be during normal business hours. The successful candidate will be a quick, energetic learner who has:

  • 2 or more years completed toward a Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, computer science, or related degree.
