The Role: Marketing Communications Writer
Responsible for, but not limited to writing, editing and authenticating sales collateral, Web site and other promotional materials including application papers, product descriptions, data sheets, conference presentations and company brochures.
Responsibilities include:
- Understands key product marketing messaging/positioning and ensuring that proper descriptions appear in all inbound and outbound marketing materials and Web site
- Creates content for Web site, or Web-based marketing campaigns
- Responsible for editing all marketing documents to ensure consistency with ShoreTel style guide, and grammatical usage
- Responsible for regular updates to all outbound marketing literature in print and on Web site
- Prepares multimedia presentations
- Selects graphics to be incorporated in marketing literature
- Writes content for invitations, banners, signage, and special collateral required to support marketing activities at industry events
- Participates in other marketing writing activities as deemed important by ShoreTel marketing management
The preferred candidate will have the following characteristics:
- A self-starter with good time management skills and ability to accurately forecast and meet project completion dates
- Good team player
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and to manage personnel in other departments to help meet milestones
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Sense of urgency for meeting commitments and completing assignments
- Experience:
- 8-10 years of high technology writing within Marketing.
Education:
-
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Journalism or Advertising.
